Could drunk driving charges hinder a Plymouth Township politician?

A political candidate in Michigan knows firsthand the damaging effects that come with drunk driving charges, even when law enforcement has yet to substantiate those charges. A man running for Plymouth Township Trustee said he hopes news of his recent drunk driving charges will not affect the way that voters fill out their ballots during the area's primary election.

More than 120 people arrested during increased enforcement period

Last month, we wrote about the increased drunk driving enforcement efforts across the state of Michigan that ran from July 1 through July 8. Part of the increased efforts included talking urinal cakes in Michigan bars and restaurants. The urinal cakes were distributed to more than 200 establishments. A larger part of the enforcement efforts included increased patrols.
