Man back in custody after stealing from dad

A man whose father agreed to give him a second chance after his release from prison after serving time for sexual crimes will be returning to custody because of theft charges. The man, age 33, was accused of draining his adoptive father's retirement savings of nearly $56,000 after he was released from a Michigan correctional facility.

Michigan man charged with 'super-drunk' driving

A Michigan man whose blood alcohol content allegedly measured at 0.20 percent is facing prosecution under the state's new "super-drunk" law. The 25-year-old man is accused of drinking and driving on Sept. 29, as he led police officers on an extended chase on U.S. 127. The man was reportedly driving the wrong way on the road; he is now facing two misdemeanor drunk driving charges in connection with the incident.

Case dismissed after witness no-show

A Michigan man who had been accused of robbery has been released from custody after a key witness failed to appear at his trial. The 21-year-old man was released in mid-September. It is still unclear why the witness failed to appear at the courtroom proceeding.
